The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Clinton County beginning Friday night through Saturday evening.
Besides Clinton, other affected areas are Boone, Carroll, Decatur, Delaware, Fountain, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Henry, Howard, Madison, Marion, Montgomery, Randolph, Rush, Shelby, Tippecanoe, Tipton and Warren. This watch includes the cities of Frankfort, Anderson, Crawfordsville, Indianapolis, Kokomo, Muncie and Shelbyville.
Heavy mixed participation is possible. Total snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches, with localized amounts up to 8 inches, and ice accumulations of a light glaze, are possible. This weather is forecast for portions of central Indiana along and north of Interstate 74.
Motorist should plan on difficult travel conditions. Significant reductions in visibility are possible.
