Boone County Memorial Service for Fallen Officers Set

On Monday May 6, at 10 a.m., a memorial service will be held for the four Law Enforcement Officers who gave their lives in service to Boone County. The service will take place on the northside of the Boone County Courthouse. It is very important to us to commemorate our fellow officers’ lives and service within both our law enforcement history and the history of Boone County. The lives that were sacrificed while providing protection for our community and fellow man have set the stage for where Law Enforcement is today.

Please join us as we commemorate their lives.

Gone but NEVER forgotten
Officers who have given the ultimate sacrifice:
1. Sheriff John Peper – February 7, 1935
2. Trooper Richard G. Brown – September 27, 1967
3. Master Trooper Michael E. Greene – February 5, 1993
4. Deputy Sheriff Jacob M. Pickett – March 2, 2018

The public is more than welcome to attend this service. Their thoughts and prayers are always welcomed and appreciated by the Boone County Law Enforcement Community.
