Clinton Prairie Finishes Well At Hoosier State Relays

Clinton Prairie’s sophomore,Hayden Kemple placed 3rd in the 3200 with a time of 9:38. Which beat CP’s outdoor record and according to sources available, makes him the second fastest 3200m runner to run for a Clinton County school.

Sophmore, Taylor Hornbeck competed in Pole Vault and She placed 13th with a jump height of 8foot 6inches

The competition was held in Bloomington last Saturday.

Tuesday there is a meet at Western Boone. A 3-way meet between WeBo, Clinton Prairie, and Frankfort.

Coach Ben Martin head XC coach for CP and the distance coach for CP track and field says Hayden Kemple (CP) and Christopher Angeles (F) are a couple of very talented sophomores who have a bit of a rivalry running distance.

Hayden’s best time from XC was 16:01, Chris’s was 16:16. For a 5k. I’m expecting a good race between them in either the 1600 or 3200. They are definitely a couple of standouts, both being top 5 at the Harrison Sectionals and regional.

Congratulations Taylor and Hayden.
