Tynlie Neal scored 23 points, had five rebounds and five assists to lead Clinton Prairie to a 42-38 girls’ basketball victory over Taylor Saturday in Jefferson.
The victory improved the Gophers to 12-2 ahead of Thursday night’s non-conference matchup against Seeger.
Katie Blacker and Emma McKinney each added nine points for Prairie, which led 20-14 at halftime and 37-26 after three periods. The Gophers were able to hang on for the win despite scoring just five points in the fourth quarter.
Blacker and Hannah Wilson led the team in rebounds with six apiece.
Clinton Central Swimming
The Clinton Central boys’ and girls’ swimming teams came away with a tie and a loss at Tipton on Tuesday night. The boys lost 105-75, while the girls finished in 93-93 tie.
