Points of Light Volunteer Fair Coming Up On April 9

Kaspar Media will hold its Third Annual Points of Light Volunteer Fair at the 51 West Event Center in downtown Frankfort from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9.   Each year about 30 area non-profit organizations participate.

The mission of the “Points of Light Volunteer Fair” is to inspire, recognize and encourage people to seek out imaginative ways to engage in their communities. Non-profit organizations will be invited to communicate their mission and promote their volunteer needs. The fair is being held during National Volunteer Week April 7-13, 2019.

The past two years, this event has been held at Ivy Tech Community College and the 4-H Building at the Clinton County Fairgrounds.

Food and drinks will be served at no charge to all attendees and exhibitors as a “thank you” for participating!  Door prizes will be given away to attendees throughout the day. A random drawing will be held for a one night for two at the French Lick Resort, a $500 prize and for a $250 prize for two participating non-profits to use as the non-profit sees fit.

Space will be available to non-profits on a first come, first served basis at no charge.

Corporate sponsors for this event is Center Township Trustee and Encompass Credit Union. The two pillar sponsors are Jerry’s Body Shop and Wampler Services.

Any businesses or organizations interested in participating should call 765-659-3338 and talk to Liz DeRosa, Russ Kaspar or Karen Butcher.
