Two Frankfort Police Department Lieutenants officially completed an intense training course to continue developing their leadership skills in the realm of law enforcement.
The department announced that Police Lieutenants Brett Dale and Zach Nichols officially completed an intense 320-hour, eight-week Supervision of Police Personnel course from the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety that provides instruction in dynamic leadership, management, planning and decision making as well as cultural diversity, ethics and community policing.
The department has utilized Northwestern University’s Center for Public Safety for over eight years with the center becoming a priority for the current and recent administrations. Deputy Chief Cesar Muñoz commented about the importance of continuing the training for the department.
“We are creating a consistent leadership philosophy by sending all middle and upper management to the same leadership course,” Muñoz said. “This concept ensures that our internal leadership culture benefits our officers and the community as a whole.”
