ORV Accident Results in Head Injuries for Young Male

Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an off-road vehicle accident with injuries that occurred at approximately 8 p.m. in northeastern Clinton County on June 24.

First responders were dispatched to the area of county roads 880 East and 600 North after an ORV driven by a juvenile, age 11, struck a utility pole. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

The juvenile was transported to St. Joseph Hospital in Kokomo to be treated for a head injury.

Agencies assisting on the scene included the Forest Volunteer Fire Department, Clinton County Medic 1, Clinton County 911 Dispatch, and the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.

Indiana Conservation Officers stress the importance of wearing a helmet and other safety equipment when operating an ORV.
