Ground Broken on Lebanon Fire Department’s New Station 213

The City of Lebanon marked a major milestone yesterday with the groundbreaking of Fire Station 213, a long-anticipated project aimed at strengthening emergency services on the city’s west side.

Located across from Menard’s, the new station will significantly improve service and reduce emergency response times for nearby neighborhoods and businesses. The project has been nearly a decade in the making — first discussed in 2015 during an early meeting between city leadership and Fire Chief Chuck Batts.

“This has been on the to-do list since that very first conversation,” said Mayor Matt Gentry. “Station 213 will allow our firefighters to respond faster and serve more residents as our community continues to grow.”

City officials, members of the Lebanon Fire Department, representatives from GM Development, CORE Construction, RQAW, and other partners gathered at the site to celebrate the start of construction and reflect on the collaborative effort that brought the project to life.

Once complete, Station 213 will enhance public safety and expand the department’s reach, ensuring that Lebanon remains well-prepared to meet the needs of its residents for years to come.
