Ronald Povero was convicted Thursday on Benton Circuit Court on one count of Child Solicitation with a Minor a Level 4 Felony and one count of Sexual Misconduct with a Minor a Level 5 Felony. He was sentenced to 13½ years with a mandatory 12 years to serve and 1½ years on house arrest.
The case was investigated by Trooper Detective Ben Rector and Trooper Stephen Grayson of the Indiana State Police Lafayette Post. The incident occurred in September of 2017 with a child under the age of 17 years.
